The purpose of the Zhytomyr Oblast Organization of All-Ukrainian Association "Lemko" is to promote the revival of ethnic Lemko, research, development and promotion of original culture Lemko (Ruthenians), their traditions, customs, spirituality and of social activity for non-commercial basis for financial, material, technical support, satisfaction and protection of national, ethnic, cultural, social, legal and other interests of citizens of Ukraine - labor veterans, disabled veterans and war participants, Lemko (Ruthenians) - ethnographic group of Ukrainian people and their descendants living in the Zhytomyr region.
